EDGE Academy is a complete music training and equipping program for high schoolers and young adults that not only provides excellent weekly personal training sessions in a Christ-centered environment but also includes opportunities and resources that provide the experiences and opportunities that young, aspiring musicians vitally need in order to thoroughly develop their giftings and talents. Whether their musical goals be to participate in worship ministry or in the music industry.

Student Opportunities
When you join EDGE Academy, you gain access to the incredible opportunities and resources that our program has to offer.
Personal Instruction
Weekly private instruction at our Beaverton studio is the core of the EA program, providing exciting and dynamic training in musical technique as well as many other vital topics such as theory, ear training, improvisation, etc.
Studio Recording
EDGE Academy students can schedule recording time and have the support of pro studio musicians, engineers and producers to bring their original songs to life and release them!
Live Performance
Students can participate in our showcase concerts throughout the year and gain valuable experience performing their original music alongside other musicians and writers.
Training & Equipping
EDGE Academy Participants receive instruction on their instrument of choice (guitar, piano, bass or voice) as well as other essential skills such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, improvisation, etc.
Those with a vision to pursue becoming a worship musician or worship leader can learn the essential techniques that will allow them to effectively and intuitively flow spontaneously and improvise during worship. And those pursuing our performance track can receive empowering training in strategies for live performance, presentation, stage presence, connecting with the audience, etc.

But excellent personal instruction is only the beginning! EDGE Academy students have a full range of resources available to them including:
• Monthly Songwriter’s Group (SongSpace) – Accelerate your writing skills alongside other passionate song writers
• Perform Live! – Live concerts and showcases are organized regularly for EA students who are pursuing our performance track
• Studio Recording – Students can record their original music in a pro-studio with skilled audio engineers and sometimes even other pro-musicians!
• Release your original music – Our songwriters get support producing and releasing their original songs to streaming platforms like Spotify!
• Network – Connect and build relationship with other Christian musicians in the region

Certifications for Students
Academy students have the opportunity to earn certifications (much the same as you would earn a certification in a coding language,) in a variety of subjects such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, etc. These certifications show their competence and capability in these areas, are proof of their training to other ministries, businesses, institutions, and mission field organizations and are listed on the student’s EDGE Academy transcript.

Record & Publish Your Music!
At EDGE Academy we have a strong vision to get behind young songwriters and help them to publish the original music that God has inspired them with. Our students have access to an exciting set of resources that offer the tools, support and expertise they need to record and publish their songs from start to finish!
Record
Schedule time at one of our recording studios and record the instruments and vocals for your new song.
